Maybe they would have known what to expect? Dealing with only the terrorists was just wrong.
But the UN taught gender pronouns. So, all should have been perfect.
You don’t announce when you are going to pack up and leave. Ever.
Don’t believe me? Put a sign in your yard a few month before you go on vacation listing the dates you will be gone and that no one will be home.

Meh.
The interpreters, guides and local fixers were paid collaborators. The Talib don’t have to be good dudes. They took over. It is what it is. And after you take over, you deal with collaborators. Moral pissing and sneezing into the dark notwithstanding.

Yep, they shouldn’t have trusted us.
Talib is singular.
It is a mess for sure. I do think there is still time to get everyone out. We are up to 6,000 people a day. It’s increaing every day as we get better. We should have the capacity to get at least 132,000 people out by the deadline and Biden has hinted at staying longer if necessary. I’m going to reserve judgment until we see where we end up.

Where did you here 6000 a day? I have seen we have that capacity but are only doing about 2000. 6000 would be nice if true.
They haven’t posted today’s numbers.
is that just US, or everyone I know Germany is flying people out too.

It’s not a bad idea…gives them the ability to get more people out.
They’re not flying into Kabul. They’re picking up from all the scattered sites out of country.
Not even sure why they had to be asked. Everyone is all patriotic sending them in, happy to get their brand on the war then, why not now?

Sure, not today.
Is going in the same as getting run out?
Leaving was going to leave a power vacuum either way.
