Most of us want to quit digging up the past we don’t think it heals anything and only brings more polarization to and already polarized country on race. Obviously this event was ■■■■■■ up and wish it didn’t happen just as many events throughout history.

P.S. Welcome back

Oh PLEASE STOP!

“Digging up the past”? It has NEVER been “buried”!

Its in my face EVERYDAY!

There has NEVER been any CLOSURE!
The “grave” it is in is VERY shallow! One good rain and it comes up.

What?

You don’t THINK there have been lingering effects?

“Effects” that last to this day?

We should ALL just “shut our eyes”?

An ENTIRE people were brutally STRIPPED of their background, and heritage, TERRORIZED and TARGETED!

You can’t "heal’ until that ■■■■ is ACKNOWLEDGED!

You CAN keep it going…you keep doing your BEST! Even when ALL the odds are against you!

Just like them folks in Greenwood did…Just Like I do…

But there is NO healing, until the “terrorizing” is acknowledged!

And NOT “minimized” by saying ■■■■ like “oh…well… they killed 10 white folks first…”

Speak for yourself.

I believe in the “if you bury history, you are doomed to repeat it” theory.

Nothing wrong with bringing up the past. We can learn a lot from past mistakes.

You and Samm…

Samm…“Time to retire”.

If its “time” for ME to “retire” and stop talking about social injustices based on systemic racism…? Then it’s TIME for ALL of us to give up our GUNS!

You…“TV Man has you indoctrinated.”…
Really? That’s all you got Sneaky?

<I’m getting it from the television thingy…

SMH.

You can do better Sneaky.

Or… maybe you can’t on this subject…and just wanna be obtuse.

Systemic racism is a thing of the past. It was a real thing during the Jim Crow era but it’s a thing of the past now.

I was a kid during some of the Jim Crow era and recognize real systemic racism.

I recognize baloney passed off these days as real systemic racism nonsense as well because of seeing the real thing.

But Jim Crow wasn’t as bad as Slavery… so therefore it’s nonsense for anyone to complain about it… right?

Probably one of the most ironic posts I’ve seen on this board.

I am a bit mystified. Statues to Confederate Generals are a good and valid way to remember and teach history. Mentioning the Tulsa Race Riot in classes or commemorating via a plaque or statue would be picking at scabs.
