If I were to guess? It’s Dollar General that’s putting them out. I’m seeing this chain multiply like crazy and all of these “dollar” stores are competing for the same market.

Anybody else seeing this chain popping up around you?

If the word dollar is in the name they are trash. Every single one of them.

At least places like Wal Mart give you another guy as some backup for stocking purposes.

Basically the dollar stores expect you to do the work of four people for the price of one. It’s why they can’t keep anyone there.

Plus they all race to the very bottom when it comes to paying their employees. I’ve got friends who have worked for all of them. It’s not just the ■■■■ compensation; it’s the bull they make you go through while you’re there. Like forcing the managers to work 80 hours per week with no backup. And expecting one person to not only clean and care for the store but to also unload and stock a full 18 wheeler by themselves.

It’s why their turnover is so appalling. They are all literally the worst places to work in retail.

Is that possible in one shift? I used to do that for Pathmark when I was 17 and as fit as a fiddle. I unloaded every pallet from that 18 wheeler with a hand forklift, transferred the items to Uboats, and pushed them out to the appropriate aisles. No time to stock the items and clean up the place. Even if I didn’t take breaks.

John Oliver did an entire segment on Dollar Tree… it was very enlightening. They are an absolute garbage company.

They sell garbage as well.
