Hell the company I work for routinely fires people over lost cores for brake calipers. That’s like 20 bucks.
I’m not shocked that someone who costed a company 800 million bucks got the boot.

You just stated absolutely nothing.
Paul Ryan is pulling the strings so FOX doesn’t cross any lines…again…like Tuck did with the J6 tapes.
All about lies and deceit and silencing opposing voices.

It wasn’t given to them, they were allowed to view it and release segments only after approval.
Fox made a bit of a mistake firing him, they should have simply taken him off the air and continued paying him until 2029 under the terms of his contract. Then he would not be free to seek other assignments which might hurt Fox’s ratings in his time slot. Money well spent, if you ask me, taking that big a piece off the chessboard.

Oh please, its so old hearing how the whole world is against cons.
There always has to be some ulterior motive. Its not possible that Murdoch decided that after effectively losing the Dominion lawsuit and with others looming he decided enough was enough and someone had to go. Instead a whole conspiracy has to spring up around what was a business decision.

They didn’t fire him. No doubt they made it untenable for him to stay by demanding something he wasn’t willing to accept.

Only because we had elected officials demanding he be silenced.

Based on the leaks which no doubt were orchestrated by Murdoch himself, Carlson was totally blindsided by this and the decision to let him go was made over the weekend.

What is just as old and stale is this canned response you always offer.
Not very creative or interesting IMO.

Doesn’t change the fact, they did not officially fire him as far as I can see. Would have been easy enough to say so in the clear if they did. Especially since he would say it if they didn’t if that is how it went down. Seems far more likely to me that they asked him to do something he wasn’t willing to accept. In any case cable news is a dinosaur. Given what he was saying I was amazed he lasted as long as he did. Going after pharma is a big corporate no no.
CNN hasn’t said that they fired lemon either. Could have been easy for them to say it …
Newsmax no doubt would love to have him.

But Lemon did say it, why hasn’t Carlson?
Not yet anyway. He may very well say it. The point is what the employer said or hasn’t said for say legal reasons or contractual obligations isn’t really indicative of what happened.
I’ve been hearing that for quite some time and have noticed Fox , especially on days, sliding slowly leftward.

Doesn’t matter all that much, if they didn’t officially fire him they asked him to tone it down and he refused. Either way they parted ways. Fox gets a partial pass on it because of dominion, at least some of their viewers will see it that way but many won’t. He was the biggest draw left in dinosaur cable news, they needed him more then he needed them. He isn’t dead, he will simply broadcast from somewhere else.

Ditto my friend.
Must be terrifying to live in a world where not only is everyone against you but you also seem to perceive that they are winning.
Total and utter insanity has prevailed on this board in the last few years.

Do we even know what agreeing to part ways means? When Lemon was fired, he started blasting CNN immediately. If we don’t hear a similar reaction from Carlson, my guess is there are terms to that agreeing to part ways that we don’t know about.

He might be willing to take a low offer to get on the air again.
He could go full podcast.
He could do both??

No point to burn any bridges.
Best to keep moving forward.
This is a clear example of why Tucker > Lemon.
