Big news… gotta wonder if that settlement led to this.

FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.

Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.

FOX News Media operates the FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOX News Digital, FOX News Audio, FOX News Books, the direct-to-consumer streaming services FOX Nation and FOX News International and the free ad-supported television service FOX Weather. Currently the number one network in all of cable, FNC has also been the most watched television news channel for more than 21 consecutive years, while FBN ranks among the top business channels on cable. Owned by Fox Corporation, FOX News Media reaches nearly 200 million people each month.

Of course it did. Obviously someone had to fall on their sword. It crossed my mind it would be Carlson or Hannity but thought other lower tier hosts would be forced out.

I suspect Dominion had a say in this as part of their deal.

Didn’t see this one coming, I thought they’d get rid of him when he was calling their news division stuff fake news around when Sheppard Smith left but they chose Tucker.

I bet Hannity’s tenure and loyalty to Fox since the beginning led to him staying. Though of course letting the person go with the biggest audience, Murdoch sends a message.

Please. Tucker’s been a DNC target for years. AOC called for “regulation” specifically for him just days ago. The message is clear - dissent from progressive orthodoxy will be stifled. It’s been a pattern for years on social media alone.

Tucker regularly crosses the line into disinformation that leaves Fox open to lawsuits and credibility problems. Ray Epps anyone?

Carlsons own texts said he did not believe the election fraud. Cant blame that on dems.

Someone was going to go and Murdoch decided it was Carlson.

Fox bought this on themselves. Nothing to do with dems unless you think somehow AOC holds power over Murdoch which is laughable.

The permanent state runs corporate media, and they have merged with the Democratic Party.

Carlson has a loyal audience, and I am sure that he will find a place to continue his work at least for now.

Of course, the end game is to make freedom of speech mean “freedom from any speech that debunks lies from the government”.
