Technically your on your own with any administration. The people getting things done right now or locals, volunteers and people who have traveled far and wide to restore electricity, launch flights and boats to rescue people, trucking in good, diapers, etc . The thing holding a lot of that back is govt. They need to get the heck out of the way most times.

We are mad because what ever level we have is incompetent. There are approximately 47,000 active troops on Fort “Liberty.” With lots of trucks, helos, combat engineers with their equipment, mobile medical units. We sent a major naval and Marine task force to support a foreign area struck by a tidal wave once. But our civilian and military leadership can’t mobilize federal troops that are right in the state to assist with the disaster?

You can’t use federal troops for everyday local law enforcement (Posse Comitatus Act). Federal troops can and often are deployed for disaster relief.
