President Trump issued a stark warning to congressional Democrats refusing to fund his border wall Friday; saying the ongoing government shutdown could “last months and even years” should lawmakers fail to adequately secure the United States’ southern border.
The President was speaking with reporters at the White House when he was asked to comment on Sen. Schumer’s recent remarks that claimed the Commander-in-Chief was gearing-up for a prolonged fight.
Pres. Trump confirms he told Sen. Chuck Schumer during their meeting over the shutdown that it could extend for "months or even years."
"I did, I did. I did say that, absolutely I said that. I don't think it will, but I am prepared." https://t.co/CXq8iedbdM pic.twitter.com/Bdc9y8jNtq

“Absolutely I said that,” fired-back Trump. “I don’t think it will, but I’m prepared and I think I can speak for Republicans in the House and the Senate. They feel very strongly about having a safe country.

Not likely as those government employees currently required to work and not getting paid will evenually have to quit and look for other jobs.
Once TSA starts quitting and flights are delayed…
Once Air Traffic Controllers start quitting and their is no aircraft management…
Once Custom & Border Patrol agents quitting and the entry points are closed meaning no cross border commercial traffic…
Once Food and Drug inspectors have to quit and people start getting sick…

Trump will change his tune and will be responsible.

And when the shutdown is over, all the companies and organizations have to go through the hassle of rehiring people. I’m sure they won’t mind.
The longer the Government is shut down the worst that it looks on the Democratic Politicians.
The Democrat Politicians believe in Socialism. In Socialism, the government wants
people to believe that they need the government to survive, and can’t live without them.
If I were them, I’d come to an agreement with the President about the Wall.
