You didn’t even know he had them for 6 years. Now he turns a small amount in behind your back trying to keep it private and hidden and y’all want to give him a medal.

When served a subpoena, the lawyers typically start to negotiate (in good faith) the finer details.
Of course Biden did not get served, wink, wink…

Wait a minute are you trying to say biden had a right to keep them for six years?
Because before the biden news youre questioning was exactly that when it was only trump. See below

It’s OK as long as you don’t know about it for 6 years and even then it’s OK because it’s (D)ifferent.

From my perspective both Biden and Trump had documents they no longer had the authority or right to possess. In my simplistic view They both should be subjected to the same repercussions for that. In addition a much better system has to be worked out to keep track of documents. Its obviously a free for all right now
I bet if we searched previous presidents homes even dead ones we would find documents. I am sure Obama, Bush and Billy Boy are cleaning out their cupboards to check.
The only difference I see is that Biden has fully cooperated (though who knows we could find out differently) whereas Trump put up all sorts of ridiculous road blocks for no other reason than his ego does not allow others to tell him what to do.
Biden does need to explain why we are only finding out now that the first set of docs were found back in November.
I just dont understand politicians, if I had been Biden I would have come clean in November and said it will be several weeks before we can comment further as we are undertaking a full search and investigation. Sure Republicans would have jumped on that but it would not have been the firestorm it is now.
The whole keeping quiet until after the election makes no sense as the dems fully expected a red wave.
Then again I am just a rube living in Indiana.

His press secretary did on his behalf, she told the press four days ago the search was complete.

He didn’t turn them over, his lawyers, officers of the court, found them and reported them, not Joe Biden.

lol. Um, OK. It’s on NARA, the courts, the DoJ and the FBI, all whom followed the law.

Why did the FBI handle the document search of Trumps residence but the DOJ is handling the Biden search?
Answer because it makes Biden look less guilty of a crime.

They know classified documents were mixed with a lot of other documents and the classified documents were returned.
Shouldn’t the DOJ demand access to the documents they were mixed with to verify that they were all personal documents and not government work product that belonged to the government?
At best, nobody initially went through those documents to determine e their content…at worst they were intentionally taken for their content.

I posted an article a while back that said the DOJ was conducting the search now. That is how more documents were found days after JKP told the nation the search was complete.

So to sum up, the narrative that honest Joe returned the documents on his own is pure and utter fantasy.

So then Biden said he had handed back all classified documents when, at best, he had no idea whether he had or not?
That sounds a lot like what someone else recently did.

If my lawyer finds stolen goods and reports it, how is that in any way me being honest and returning the loot on my own?

Biden did not give the documents to his lawyers to turn over, they found them on their own without knowing they were there.

Because the FBI is the LE arm of the DoJ?
You think Garland should have executed the search himself? Maybe bring a paralegal or two?
If your lawyer found “stolen goods” in your house, and reported it without being instructed to do so by you, he’d be disbarred.

No, I think the FBI should, not the DOJ. Why? Because isn’t that generally who handles crime scenes?
