Was the warrant broad enough they could pick up whatever they wished from other areas of the house or JUST those boxes in that room? You can’t have it both ways.

Just read the warrant. It was only for the Trump residence and included any room in the home where boxes of documents could be stored. If they got his passports, they were in the same room as documents as per the paragraph from the warrant below;

Any physical documents with classification markings, along with any
containers/boxes (including any other contents) in which such documents are located, as well as any other containers/boxes that are collectively stored or found together with the aforementioned documents and containers/boxes

Well, not all demand to see it, there are those that want to take him down no matter what. I am not one of those, will I vote for him, nope, nor will I vote for Biden, Harris, or any other top Dem. I will do what I did in 20, 3rd party. That said, we as Americans NEED to know this was done completely legal, not done because of politics, but because Trump screwed up. Right now I think he screwed up, but I ALSO suspect politics are also behind it. Democrats are scared, not of Trump specifically, but of someone who can appeal to Americans, who is not a part of the establishment, hell BOTH parties are scared ■■■■■■■■ of this. Not that the passports were in the safe, it was supposedly empty, but if they were to look anywhere there were documents, that was the excuse to breech the safe was it? If there were boxes of documents in his private office, they therefore could gather any boxes that included any other contents within that room.

Seems to me you can read that any way you want, to gather anything you want, in any room you want.

Affidavits are quite often kept secret to keep any potential investigation or criminal charges from being compromised.

You act like this is some new thing. It happens all the time.

In fact, revealing an affidavit can oftentimes cause prejudice against the one on whom the search warrant was served.
