Or it could be that he had a whole bunch of classified material that he had no right to have and didn’t give back when asked nicely.

Then you don’t really believe no one is above the laws. Seems you think democrats should get to have a different set of rules than everyone else. But we already knew this.

It’s being reported that various GOP officials have been contacted by Trump’s team and told to stop talking about this, for fear that “more damaging information related to the search will become public.”

That will last about a week.

I don’t think he had classified documents on a server in his bathroom, so that’s all good.

He’s got 23 hours to decide.
What would happen to you if you had classified materials at your home?

Good one lol Pretty sad that dems get a pass almost every time, even when it’s critical to national security concerns, but will whine and complain if a republican sneezes the wrong way.

Given that the DOJ and FBI have lied about Trump on more than one occasion and deliberately covered up info that they knew was false, Trump is going to get the benefit of the doubt by most of the public at this point. The DOJ and FBI have done this to themselves…they can’t blame anyone but themselves. Their whining about people not trusting them is solely based on their actions they’ve taken.

We have seen the June subpoena.
We will see the warrant soon.
Trump had classified material that he had no right to have. The DOJ gave him every opportunity to give it back.
This looks like this is on Trump.
So what will Trump do now? Sit back and allow the warrant and supporting documents to be made public, or object? I think Garland has put him between a rock and a hard place.

Trump tower in Moscow (which he denied)
Paying off porn star with campaign funds (which he denied)
Having any contacts with Russians (He and everyone around his lied repeatedly)

I’d love to see the spin by his followers if he opposes the warrant.

I hope we’ll know tomorrow. “Judge Bruce Reinhart has issued an order requiring the Justice Department to serve a copy of its motion to Trump’s lawyers. It says the Justice Department must then tell the judge by 3 p.m. on Friday whether Trump opposes the motion.”
It appears that quite a few Republicans on the hill have underestimated Garland. It will be interesting to see what Trump does tomorrow.

It is not something that a reasonable prosecutor would charge.

Sure, they’d just let you keep them. Why not?

They (the ones working so hard to bring him down) must have a lot to lose if Trump wins 2024.

Notice he doesn’t say that he didn’t do anything wrong, just makes a weak false-equivalency
