Sure. A virus isn’t a bacteria.
You can get secondary bacterial infections from a virus which can be treated (if not resistant).
Nice, huh?

Not quite accurate. You don’t get the bacterial infection from the virus, the virus weakens your immune system making you more unacceptable to secondary infections.
And you have no basis for that claim.
It is’t like they have to build new production facilities, everything is already in place.

Lol.
Regardless, y’all don’t seem to comprehend how hard it is to mass produce vaccines. That is the bottleneck.
I already said they “have” them already. But when it comes to protecting a population, we are 12-18 months away, at best.
A claim for which you have no basis in fact.

My basis is history. Are you even aware of the quickest time a vaccine has been produced?

It is accurate.
A viral infection weakens your immunity system making you ripe for a bacterial infection.

That’s why it’s been stressed several times throughout this thread by those on both sides of the political aisle that any vaccine produced should be given first to those at risk.
We aren’t living in history. They got to full production with the SARS vaccine in under a year from starting.
Biotech has exploded since then.
You were wording it wrong DM. You don’t get the bacterial infection from the virus.
Yes but others were fixing to pounce so I wanted to clear it up.

Of course not. What you do get are secondary infections that are bacterial and can be treated with antibiotics. Well, that is if they even work anymore.

I honestly think it is very, very sad for those who want to politicise this.
Everyone and every country is doing their best to combat this virus at great economic cost.
We don’t know enough about this thanks to China covering up so much that would have been helpful.
I’m going to look at the glass half full scenario for now and see the bright side of this. Which is legislation to bring medical supplies and devices back to this country and not be dependent on China.
Lyme disease is vectored by the deer tick IIRC. I’m so sorry to hear about your nephew.

Yes, I’m hoping some positive outcomes result from this as well. Not for political reasons, but the betterment of our country and perhaps mankind as a whole.
That’s where my nephew is headed.
Thanks. He is ‘off the grid’ as in has no insurance, doesn’t pay taxes, hides from the government. Sad, because this was treatable. He won’t even apply for medicaid- so when he has a seizure,he goes by ambulance to the hospital, gets treated, and returns home- and never pays anyone. Our treat.
