You are confused again. “Neither will happen” is a calculated guess. And the fact that you added “time will tell” proves that in your heart, you know it could be wrong.
Either way you don’t see a problem with Trump being elected to protect your border from invasion while at the same time proposing to do just that to another country.
He doesn’t believe in anything really if he was for protecting your border he would want to include the northern end.
So close the southern border, build a wall but open up the northern border and make Canadians US citizens.
Do Americans get a say in any of this or government. Global trade war was one mans decision alone. Do you really want to annex Canada or Greenland.
Don’t get your panties in a twist. Trump will not be invading any countries in spite of his rhetoric. Besides, even if he did, a military invasion to take over a country is not even remotely the same as having millions of undocumented foreigners coming across the borders at will to set up residency. If Ireland sha4ed a long border with a third-world country, I bet that you would not want them coming into your country either.
Personally, I would like to see British Columbia, Alberta, and Northwest Territory join up with Alaska and form a country independent from both the US and Canada. But with regard to Greenland, they would be better off being either a US Territory or another Province of Canada than to remain with Denmark. They have nothing in common with Denmark and are only claimed by them because of the long abandoned Viking settlements.
Mine is not an opinion. It’s fact. One (US acquisition of Greenland from Denmark) is possible but unlikely. The other (Russia purchase of the US) is not possible.
Do you not understand the difference between selling off a remote territory and selling off the country that you and everything you own resides in? Greenland is a remote sparsely populated (mostly by indigenous people) territory of Denmark. Alaska was a remote sparsely populated (again, mostly indigenous) territory of Russia. Buying Greenland is akin to the purchase of Alaska. However, selling the entire country to another country leaves everyone living in the sold country without country to live in and no way to keep their possessions. That simply cannot happen.
