Damage was already done.Americans already heard what trump said about covid. He put doubts in their minds. And the maga crowd became convinced it was plandemic.

I believe his inability to accept his loss and his incitement to insurrection following that loss did him in. If he had lost graciously, I believe history would be more kind.
100% in agreement.
I was getting ready to have my best year ever right up until the Kung Flu hit.
So was every other citizen.

Everyone heard Trump claim that he had known how serious it would be.
He literally told the American people it was under control and would be zero or near zero in no time while he was telling Woodard it was airborne and deadly. Sorry…you are wrong.
No he didn’t. The Woodward conversation was long after COVID had spread. Only a handful of cases had been found when he trivialized it. And no agency ceased work after his initial statement.

There are tons of videos of nurses and medical staff with angry patients that couldn’t possibly be dying of covid because it was not a big deal or fake. That is a direct result of Trump’s mixed messages. He blew it epically.

Aggressive containment efforts, early on, would have meant a great deal in regards to COVID’s impact, but we dropped the ball due to short sighted concerns about “spooking the market”.

Was that solely because of Trumps policies or was it also the trends he inherited? And it doesn’t take much to be a leader when times and things are running smoothly. Being able to lead in a crisis and when times are tough is what makes one a good/great leader.

It was because America First.

Possibly, but you don’t get to aggressively contain me and my year would have been shot in a month.
It was because America First.
So the economy wasn’t already doing well when Trump took over?

It was because America First.
Come on, man. Your happiness and success is not dependent on the person in the White House. You know that.

Sure, mine was set up to do better.

Of course I do. They can put America First though. Stay out of the way, lower taxes, that kind of thing.
