President Trump unloaded on Senate Democrats during a fiery address to Republican supporters this week; accusing the senior lawmakers of being “petrified” of recently sworn-in Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her ‘Green New Deal.’
“You have Senators that are professionals…That have been there for a long time, white hair…and they’re standing behind her and they’re shaking, they’re petrified of her,” said Trump at the NRCC convention.

The ‘Green New Deal’ was brought to full vote in the US Senate by GOP Leader Mitch McConnell last week; failing to secure a single “Yes” vote as virtually all Democratic lawmakers simply voted “present.”
