Larger studies from Iceland and South Korea lend evidence that only children below the age of 10 have a much lower rate of COVID transmission. Children older than 10 appear to spread it at the exact same rate adults do.

I’m sure this will be ignored yet again as it has been ignored the several other times I have posted about it.

Bit of disinformation there. They have absolutely no idea whether a teacher got it first and spread it to other teachers and students. When the virus was first detected there they tested and found 7 teachers and 11 students. Continuing to test they found more and more as time passed. There is nothing to say a 7th grader was the first to get it, or the cause of spreading it to teachers.

The study specifically measured spread and was quite rigorous.

If anything, since children are less likely to show symptoms than adults, the South Korean study likely undercounted the times children were the start of the spread chain.

And in Israel, the students in the middle school I mentioned were the start of the spread chain there.

A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention details a large coronavirus outbreak at an overnight camp in Georgia that resulted in 260 sick campers and staffers.

A teenage staff member was the first person to get sick. The staffer left the camp and tested positive the next day. At that point, officials started the process of closing the camp and requested everyone who attended be tested for coronavirus.

The CDC says nearly 600 people attended the camp. Of the 344 people whose test results were reviewed by the CDC, 260 (76%) were positive.
