Are you suggesting no one blamed Democrats for Scalise’s shooting?
There was a very prominent thread on the old board that claimed all “libs” had his blood on their hands. There was a lot of blaming Dems for his shooting going around at the time.

Ah, you’ve discovered our plan for the democrats.

There was a lot of condemning the shooter as a nutball regardless of political affiliation. But if you want to group up with the fringe right, should make for a hell of a party.
We know his motivation. He was clear. Yes, he’s a crazy person. But his crazy was validated by the president. You can pretend none of this is true, but that doesn’t make it so.

The president is part of the fringe right.

Exactly. That is the glaring difference here which completely obliterates the poor attempts at whataboutism by some. None of the Democrats or Bernie Sanders or the leftwing media went on to validate and echo the maniacal claims of a madman after he committed his atrocity.
Here the freaking President of the United States of America is echoing the exact same neo-nazi conspiracy theories as the lunatic that brutally murdered 11 Jewish Americans. And he did it before some of them are even buried.
Not only is it disgusting and sick by Trump, but it is equally disgusting of any fellow American attempting to defend this or downplay it by deflecting to others. But this is where some of our fellow brothers and sisters seem to be these days. Completely lost and possibly irredeemable.

You do realize that most are poor folks who probably are used to eating 1 meal a day. These aren’t people from a first world country who eat 3 square meals plus a morning and night time snack.
Exactly. I’d argue he is the leader of a certain faction of the extreme fringe right as well.

The President is an awful person. This we know is fact. He’s made it acceptable for others to be just as awful. If it wasn’t so sad and disheartening it would be funny.

His notivTion is “pin pointed” on this form on a daily basis.
He has been called a representative of the violent left, being inspired by Obama and Maddow etc
He was the leftist mob before last week happened and now it’s all about both sides and no finger pointing and mental illness. Par for the course
Even the guy who was named by the shooter as the reason for killing those innocent Jewish folks?
Trump could go the high road and state he doesn’t know and doesn’t have any information to verify anything at this time. But he doesn’t, he takes the low road to keep his Fox News followers all riled up.

Today is another day where I can use the president to provide an easy lesson to my 8 & 11 year olds on how not to act and treat people.

Absolutely. A truly terrible human being. The absolute worst that society has to offfer. And he is clearly attracting like-minded people which is evident by the massive increase in conspiracy theories being promoted on the right. And the complete and utter lack of empathy from many over there as well. It’s depressing to witness their stain on our nation.

You think it was just the fringe right blaming Democratic rhetoric for Scalise’s shooting?
Also, I think you do the victims and the Jewish community by describing the shooter as some nutball and mentally ill. For starters, it ignores the larger context of underlying anti-semitism that persists and has perhaps grown in recent years. Second, the shooter shows no signs of mental illness. Being homocidal is not evidence of mental illness. Blaming Jews for the migrant caravan is no evidence for mental illness (and if it is, well, #TFA).

You are promoting a baseless theory that resulted in 11 jews being murdered just a few days ago.

And tons of Americans love it, excuse it or deflect from it.
Now everyone be calm, take a step back, and understand what that means.

His “motivation” wasn’t pinpointed because Democratic leaders weren’t out encouraging violence amongst supporters. If Obama had gone before the American people and encouraged assault against Republican politicians, only for someone to take him up on that offer, what do you think the response of conservative America would have been?
They would still be yelling about it to this day.
Conservative America decided to make Donald Trump their standard bearer. When they made that choice, and continue to do so, they own the ugliness spewing from his gullet each and every day. They own the encouraging of assault against reporters. They own naming media as “enemies of the American people”. They own the equivocation between the “Jews will not replace us” white nationalists and the people protesting against their hate. And they own when people actually listen to the conservative leaders in Washington or the media and decide to take action.
If ya’ll don’t want this to be the reality, look for some better leadership and demand media figures that don’t make millions each year creating people like Caesar Sayoc and Robert Bowers.

The worst attack against the Jewish community in the U.S. within the last 58 years in no way effected that community. Not at all. Just ONE person was effected.
