I know not advocating it just saying the pissing match between SA and Russia and ramping up production during this mess has made it worse.
That had far less effect than the panic over this virus.
China’s GDP and oil imports started cratering in November and as it has spread around the world we’ve seen a world wide shutdown of large portions of every economy which forced global demand to crater.
Absent the virus their pissing contest would not have had a serious impact on oil prices for long because Russia in particular cannot withstand it as so much of their GDP is tied to their petroleum production.
SA is so rich if they cut all production for a year nobody would suffer.
