Isn’t it quite amazing how far down the Garden Path they’ve gone?

If trump get reelected after all his scam to overthrow US democracy is exposed, so be it. america deserves it.
But I don’t think it will happen. As Nov 3 has shown, americans are sick of his bull crap.

“I believe the election was corrupted and I want you to look at the evidence I’ve heard. If you agree it was corrupt, and you just declare it corrupt, I believe I will be able to deal with it from there.”
“And my allies in the House” was not in quotes, BTW.
Nothing sinister in there at all.
Say that if it was revealed that Obama had said the same thing after the 2016 election you’d have been perfectly fine with it then I’ll believe you believe what you are saying.

Yes. Is he not allowed to do that? Don’t they serve at the pleasure of the President? If he did not agree with Trump but complied merely to keep his job, he shouldn’t keep the job. In the end, he didn’t agree, didn’t comply and kept his position. What’s the problem?
What we need in a President… Hey… I saw this stuff on the internet so I want you to declare the election to be corrupted and don’t worry about what happens after… me and my supporters in Congress will take care of the rest of it and if you don’t want to do what I say then I just might replace you with someone who will.
I am somehow not surprised that the supporters don’t care.
So your answer amounts to, " He did nothing illegal or unusual for a president. But maybe if I set my hair on fire while claiming moral outrage, others will follow my example."
I’m sure you’ll get a few followers to follow you.

As I think Aslan said, " It is not given to you to know what might have been."

unusual for a president
Name another President that used the position of his office to try to overturn the election that he lost.

Of course, if you particularity the circumstances sufficiently, anything can be “unprecedented”.
Presidents have pressured and threatened staff and exec heads with consequences since the founding.

Any of those things involve overturning an election that he lost?
No one ever doubted your vast, one-dimensional imagination.

Thanks for falling head first into my point

We don’t know he was going to overturn it. I expect he would have pushed for a comprehensive audit and have accept the findings.
I’m very charitable like that, especially when you go two whole posts without race.

Sure. Everything that happened has led us to believe that he would have accepted results that showed hum losing
Some of us. Others have a particularly bitter and jaundiced view of '45, and I would expect them to expect the worst of him in each and every circumstance.

When his actions culminated in his supporters attacking the Capitol I just for the life of me can’t see why anyone would see that.
Of course you can’t. I understand.
