Glad that Trump was so kind to appear on camera, with Democratic leadership, to announce that any government shutdown will be 100% his decision. So when Social Security checks are suspended, everyone will know it’s because Trump wants to waste tens of billions of dollars to pay private companies (probably Russian construction companies) to build an ineffective fantasy wall through 2,000 miles of desert.

Absolutely true. And this is where Trump supporters should finally be able to see that the TV character they thought was this great businessman, was just an actor. In reality, Trump can’t negotiate himself out of a paper bag. He just spews out a bunch of incoherent, emotionally reactive verbal garbage at a meeting, and then expects high paid advisors to do all the work later, actually getting a deal. That’s how he ran his businesses. A spoiled baby playing with inheritance money, blathering at deal meetings, then leaving the real work to his high paid lawyers. In the real world of national and global politics, he’s so far over his head it’s laughable.

Absolutely. With a humming economy, unemployment at lows, tax cuts being given, and the favorability of the map, had it been anyone other than Trump, the GOP would be sitting with a super-majority in the Senate and would have had an actual chance to hold the House. Instead, they got drubbed in the biggest electoral victory for Democrats since Watergate. There is no question that 2018 was a wave election.
