Honestly I don’t care about those who legally deduct legal expenses. Wealthy folks and business owners do it all the time. Hell, I’m co-owner with my wife’s business and we make damn sure to legally take advantage of those deductions while still paying our fair share of taxes.

Anyway, there is nothing preventing him from releasing his taxes. It would benefit him and his campaign more if he show his taxes and prove everyone wrong. He can bottom line this and easily prove that this story is fake news…right? He can show his taxes, prove that he isn’t a tax cheat, not in massive debt and is still a billionaire. Problem solve, right?

This is not complicated, prove yourself and release your taxes unless he has something to hide

that would be incorrect. the issue according to the fake story has been being challenged in audit for 10 years. that does not make it illegal, it makes it a difference of opinion on the law which is being disputed. When the dispute is settled, he will either pay the difference owed or not owe it.

That would be incorrect. The article doesn’t say it’s been challenged for 10 years. It says the issue occurred 10 years ago. That is two different things.

Also false is that it’s just a difference of opinion. If the IRS finds against Trump because it took illegal deductions, that is illegal because he (Trump) violated the law. Now whether it is considered a civil violation (i.e. pay back taxes, interest, and penalties) or criminal fraud (felony) makes not difference, it would still be breaking the law - i.e. illegal.
