His statement was “protected”. I asked about better?

Harry Reid is proud he lied about Mitt Romney's taxes
Harry Reid, D-Nev. has no regrets about his 2012 claims that then presidential candidate Mitt Romney paid no taxes for 10 years.
His statement was “protected”. I asked about better?
Even thin people die from bad ideas.
My my, I seemed to have hit a nerve.
I already answered that above. I don’t feel that I need to restate my thought.
It is the ultimate reality check, though.

I don’t think you give yourself enough credit.
Being fat is actually a horrible idea, with all the potential health problems associated with obesity. Sometimes people need a reality check to start pushing away from the table and getting their butts moving.
That’s your call. If you think that you should be more judgmental. It’s up to you. All I am saying is that if you want to use fat shaming as a political tool, I will retort. Fair enough?
What was Reid supposed to say? “He’s doing an excellent job?” He was asked, he voiced his opinion.
And Trump gave his opinion in reply.

I get it now. They are calling him “fat Donald” because they are concerned about his health.
Telling them they’ve gained weight, their getting fat and it’s not good for them.
You don’t think famous intelligent people like Michael Moore, Stacy Abrams and her sister, Loretta Lynch, Oprah, Rosie know this?

It’s not being judgemental. If you had a close friend or relative who was an alcoholic or drug addict, you wouldn’t bring it up and offer to help?
armycowboy:
Cory admits he WAS fat and then took steps to lose weight.
That is awesome! Maybe we can change his name to Chubby Cory? But Fat Hillary still stands… I would prefer not to fat shame at all. I would never have the nerve to fat shame front of an over weight friend or relative neither would you. Fat shaming is just a bad idea. But if y’all insist.
I have never used the “fat Donald” name for Trump and I try to avoid that sort of name calling. But that being said, it seems many people call him “fat Donald” as a call out to Trump’s excessive use creating names like that for his political opponents.
armycowboy:
As an NCO for 18 years, I told plenty of Soldiers, who were on the overweight program, that they were fat.
And as a marine NCO. I did the same. Although we hade very few overweight Marines. But they had to be in shape to defend America. I’m guessing that you do did not extend this judgement to President Fat Bill Clinton or first lady Fat Hillary or your mom, sister wife, their friends their kids or anybody else. Fat shaming in general is a horrible idea. Agreed?
Agreed, but I’m not aware of the Clintons calling other people fat on a regular basis. Is it possible Trump deserves the ridicule? Kind of a “live by the sword die by the sword”?
But that being said, it seems many people call him “fat Donald” as a call out to Trump’s excessive use creating names like that for his political opponents.
Bingo!
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/430525-trump-working-on-labels-for-2020-dems-report
President Trump is reportedly working on possible nicknames for his potential 2020 Democratic challengers as the field of nominees continues to grow.
The Associated Press reports that sources close to the president have been working with Trump on labels for specific 2020 candidates. Two sources with knowledge of Trump’s 2020 plans told the AP that the president has begun testing nicknames on aides and advisers as he prepares to reveal them publicly.
It’s only his opinion so I can ignore the ‘alternate facts’ he uses to express that opinion.
That will help me conclude Obama lied more than Trump lies.

I am surprised and disappointed I have to explain the obvious.

That’s how I’ve always seen it.
And having said that, I quickly lose interest in discussions with those who use precisely the same tactic they decry in Trump.
Props to you for eschewing it.
And Harry Reid is scum. He stood on the senate floor and lied about a Romney when he was running for president. And after the election when it was proven he lied and he was asked about it and just like a man with little to no class he laughed and said it worked didn’t it.
Cry me a river.

My impression is they like to call him that because they like calling opponents names, just like he does. A slight variation of what you said.
If name calling bothered them, they would speak negatively about his name calling, not take up the same practice.
As if he invented it.

I think leading by example is apparently a foreign concept to you.
I’m sure it’s not your fault. Others are making you name call.
