Dude. Black and white people weren’t allowed to marry each other. How in the hell is that a Great America?
America was great when we back when our armed forces were segregated and Kim crow laws where in effect?
It went downhill when hippies along with other protested an unfair war and used civil disobedience to get the civil Rights amendment passed?

I am sorry did I put race anywhere in my response? Why do you liberals have to bring race up every freaking time? I told you why I liked that era, I told you why I don’t like hippies. Nothing to do with race.

Why?
Prayers may make the prayer feel better, but other than that, they’re useless.
Dude why don’t you get off the race train for a while.
The question was when was America great. Ignoring what was happening to over 10% has every to do with race.
Was America great during Jim Crow? Simple yes or no. If no then when was it last great?

The meme should be, “Make America White (and straight) Again”, as that is the real desire.

Faith is overrated. If feels good to believe in it, but in reality, does not do much more.
I’ll stick to facts and logic.
Ok let’s try another tract. Was America great when it forced US citizen into concentration camps because of fear they might be Japanese spies? That was the exact opposite of coming together.

Because for those who where any of non-white, non-Christian, non-male, non-straight, non-rich the era of which you speak wasn’t quite as rosy as you paint.
Media being unfair again when he is lying out of his ass again
Just told you. Oh and by the way, Truman tried to get a civil rights bill passed. You liberals didnt want anything to do with it.
Get back to me when you honestly want my opinion about this.
Hey it works for mass shootings, why not thoughts and prayers for MAGA
Don’t confuse liberal, conservatives, democrats, and republican.
But it’s fine we know your opinion the last time America was great was when a significant segment of the population were 4th class citizens and the government imprisonment of tens of thousands without cause was cool. Well as long as we ignore that it makes perfect sense what it would take to make America great Again
Yeah well despite those differences people came together to win the war.
No not at all. If you can’t understand what it took to win world war 2, and no I am not talking about the Japanese camps, then our discussion will be limited by a learning curve.
You just posted that we were great during segregation.
That’s your screw up. Just accept it.
oh it took a lot to win WW2 not the least of which was the cooperation of many countries and the sacrifice of millions of soviet troops. Claiming america was great because it won a war is a ridiculous oversimplification but bring the “learning curve” is just hilarious.
One cannot ignore history and the conditions of millions of US citizens and still reasonably state America was great.
Either it was great Including segregation, Jim Crow, Internment camps or it wasn’t. Was america great for blacks yes or no?
