Well I have to say the Italians defiantly put the fear into Brussels this past election. It’s looking like Sweden of all countries will be next this September. I was just reading a piece on politico called “Sweden Freaks Out”.

Anything/anyone that does not fully endorse the decision of those at the top to bring in immigrants from war torn countries is a part of the “far right”. In this instance they were not on the world stage. They were heads of state on a state visit.
Host and guest are not equals.
Protocol would have been different had they been meeting at a UN conference or some neutral activity.

I will agree with that when Britain complains about some breach of protocol and sites standards with which they and our state department agreed. As it is, there seem to be a lot of different opinions as to whom should stand where. Not that 18th century “where to stand in relations to a monarch” isn’t something more suited to Disneyland than of real importance. I hardly thing Britain will complain about being insulted when they have a balloon of their guest in diapers. If this is the 18th century, then off with their heads.
