Similar to Michelle Obama Trump made a minor mistake which is annoying the British people when he meet with the Queen.
in Michelle case it was placing her hand on the Queen in Trump case it was walking in-front of her and blocking her path.
when it comes to the Queen protocol is number one.
though it simply a minor mistake doubtful to cause much trouble overall the visit with the Queen went well.
The Queen shook hands with the US President as she met him at Windsor Castle before greeted First Lady Melania.
Donald Trump was being led by the Queen in front of troops, just after their first meeting.
President Trump and the First Lady Melania did not bow or curtsy upon first greeting the Queen instead opting for a handshake.
The US President appeared to walk ahead leaving the Queen to step behind Mr Trump.
After being blocked out behind the US President, the Queen then went back to the right-hand side of the US President.

Trump is head of state of the US just as the Queen is head of state of the US. He is on an equal footing with the queen in protocol, not subservient. Sorry, it was Obama bowing to foreign kings that was wrong protocol.
At least the OP believes it was minor. Yahoo News (oxymoron?) is having a fit about it by cherry picking outraged Trump haters.

State Department protocols advise U.S. diplomats and presidents to be sensitive to local customs but do not advise bowing.
Just be glad he didn’t grab her.

They were calling the balloon tiny this morning.
The guys an an oaf who drives golf carts onto the tees and green. If this is all he stumbles on then it’s quite a performance.
He was a guest.
I’m not Japanese but if I ever met the Japanese emperor I would follow protocol and bow lower than he bows towards me.
It’s called being respectful of other people’s cultures and customs.

No. Trump represents the US as the head of state and bowing like that shows the US to be the subservient country.
What if the State Department passed a protocol that foreign royalty such as the Queen must bow and kiss the feet of the President when they are guests in this country? Do you think the UK would go along with that?
So the US is subservient to KSA then.
