Perhaps, but the point is, it was not a military subjugation of the Indians, it was a law enforcement response to violent civil disobedience that was more akin to Waco and the Bundy Ranch incidents than the 1890 Wounded Knee massacre and it has zero bearing on anything that may occur in Greenland should Trump acquire it.
I disagree. At the end of the day DC and special interest runs Alaska whether you want to admit it or not.
Take Alaskan natives tribal groups…they want drilling for energy while Biden and his band of misfits want to lock their land away from any and all economic development.
Trump acquires Greenland…and libs make it a national park and people will have no say.
You might have a point if the Feds had come in with military backing and stolen land from the natives to extract valuable minerals over their objections. But that’s not what’s going on.
And natives are just like the rest of us. They are divided on the extraction of resources. Native groups are among the most ardent opponents of mineral and petroleum exploration and development.
But you guys are talking about the US government and private companies (with government approval) running roughshod over the Native Greenlanders and taking whatever they want. That sort of thing is not going to occur under US law. The sins of the past are history. Nothing more.
The Constitution says otherwise. The US never did what you are suggesting will happen in any country we defeated in WWII. That MO is dead and buried. It’s not going to happen, so quit pretending that it would … regardless of what Trump says.
