Trump will forever have the stain of being the 3rd President in US history to be impeached, regardless what happens in the Senate. It might not mean anything to those that worship the ground he walks on, but not everyone worships politicians.

He will forever be known for being vindicated and reelected.

The senate doesn’t remove him ( no surprise)

The house continues to investigate and more and more shady dealings by trump turn up some of it even more incriminating than what’s been uncovered so far

Americans get so disgusted by trump and the gop covering up for him that all but the 30% of his cult go out of their way to punish him and the gop at the ballot box

The dems win the whitehouse and the senate
Even some long term senators like McConnell lose their seats

An acquittal in the Senate is not vindication, any more than O.J. was vindicated upon his acquittal.

If Trump is acquitted, he will no more be vindicated than Clinton was when he was acquitted. Acquittal merely means that 67 Senators did not feel his actions rose to high crimes and misdemeanors worthy of removal from office. Nothing more.

The only President that was ultimately vindicated, Andrew Johnson, was not vindicated until long after his death. He was vindicated when the Supreme Court declared the Tenure of Office Act unconstitutional in the 1920’s, which of course is what Johnson was impeached for violating.

Andrew Johnson was fully vindicated, albeit posthumously.

Bill Clinton and Donald Trump will never be vindicated.
