Did he lie about what he got impeached for?

What’s cruel and wrong is those on the left who are using our brave servicemen as political pawns.
And I say this as someone who has children and grandchildren serving.

Sorry, but it’s those who are using our service members as political pawns that are disrespecting our troops.
It’s pretty low to try and use United States service men and women as a partisan dig against Trump. These leftist partisans are not hurting Trump. Who they are hurting is the very troops that were injured.

This has been the most ridiculous partisan effort to undo an election I have ever seen in my life!
Listening to second hand witnesses when we have the actual first hand transcript is laughable! For all those who believe the President is guilty of using his power to withhold aid from Ukraine unless Pres. Zelensky investigates a political opponent on the July 25th call, I have one simple question. Please point out to me in the actual transcript what sentences in it definitively prove that he threatened Pres Zelensky that he would withhold aid if he didn’t do an investigation on Biden. In fact, please show where he even mentions the word “aid” in the transcript! If you can do that, I will reverse my opinion and definitely declare he’s guilty!

That may well be, the fog of war is in conflict with our expectation that in our connected world all information will be available instantly. But the same can be said about some of the confusing messages the Obama Administration put out about the Benghazi attack and that led to seven (or was it eight) Congression investigations… all of which turned up nothing. All I am asking for is consistency.

You are correct that we don’t know how the decisions the R’s made about impeachment will impact Trump. My sense though is that those decisions are more likely to affect a series of Senate races, where Republicans in states where Trump is unpopular will have a hard time justifying their votes. Again we don’t know, but I think if there is an impact that is where it will be.

There are people who love Trump no matter what he does, just as there are people who are opposed to Trump’s no matter what… and neither group is going to be at all influenced by the process of the impeachment.

One difference…breaking a traffic law is a crime. Holding up funding for a couple of months was noncompliance with a budget statute and not a crime.

This is why Adam Schiff made the argument he did using the selling of Alaska to make a point.

Republicans are still hung on the fact that an actual crime must be committed in order to impeach

Yes - Farce.

This column from the Federalist includes those famous words from Al Green… “I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach this president, he will get reelected.” This whole ridiculous charade has been all about avoiding future interference in our elections by those pesky voters who had the nerve to do something other than what the liberal left believed should have happened last time.

From a December 17 Washington Examiner Editorial, headlined “Democrats are making a farce of impeachment” Democrats are making a farce of impeachment | Washington Examiner

"To grasp the weakness and poverty of the Democrats’ impeachment effort, you don’t need to listen to the Republican responses. You simply need to read the impeachment articles themselves.

They tell the story of a party that was always planning to impeach President Trump and which has now settled on intentionally vague and airy charges. Why? Because Democrats are preemptively trying to avoid political accountability for what they are about to do.

In particular, the second article of impeachment is laughable. It alleges “obstruction of Congress.” Not “obstruction of justice,” an actual crime, but of Congress.

If you’ve followed the impeachment process, you know that the evidence does not support the Democrats’ charge."

Yes - The Impeachment of this president has been a politically motivated farce. When we reach the point that we can impeach our leaders over political differences the precedent that sets is devastating, and let’s face it, the left has been searching for a crime for three years. It’s literally impossible to take any of this even remotely seriously.

Trump made a phone call, he took steps to make sure taxpayers hard earned money wasn’t going to a famously corrupt government with a new leader, Ukraine got it’s aid within the time it was supposed to be received and did nothing extra in return. Obama sent them blankets we sent them missiles.

The Impeachment of Donald Trump has been a partisan farce.

Of course it doesn’t have to be an actual crime. The House can impeach a President for eating a ham sandwich. The problem with abuse of power, however, is that it is entirely subjective. Could Republicans have impeached Obama for saying that he would be better able to work with the Russians after the election? Sure. Could Republicans have impeached Obama for saying that you could keep your insurance when he knew many couldn’t? Sure. Could Republicans have impeached Obama for handing out work permits to illegal aliens? Sure But they were mature enough to know the difference between something they considered wrong and impeachable acts.

Which one of those acts was using government funds for personal gain?

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, said she would not vote to convict President Donald Trump, even though his attempts to get Ukraine to investigate the Bidens were “shameful and wrong.”

Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) went on Meet The Press on Sunday and said President Donald Trump’s actions in the Ukraine scandal were “improper“—Trump was “crossing the line” by hinging millions in aid on investigating a political opponent.

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) said on Sunday on CNN that Trump dealt with Ukraine “ maybe in the wrong manner. ”

Ohio’s Senator Rob Portman said in a statement earlier this week it was “wrong” and “inappropriate” to ask another country’s leader to dig up dirt on a political opponent.

Senator Marco Rubio of Florida said in a Medium post on Friday that Trump’s action were impeachable —but that he shouldn’t be removed from his office.

Romney, Collins and on and on.

You are still parsing and pretending that nothing was wrong. Here is a list of GOP senators who have the guts to tell the truth:

Senator Marco Rubio of Florida said in a Medium post on Friday that Trump’s action were impeachable —but that he shouldn’t be removed from his office.

Romney, Collins and on and on.

One more:

Susan Collins: “It was wrong for President Trump to mention former Vice President Biden on that phone call, and it was wrong for him to ask a foreign country to investigate a political rival.”

She then goes on to say that…she believed Trump learned a “pretty big lesson” from impeachment and will be “much more cautious” about seeking foreign assistance in the future.

To that I go…ha ha ha ha ha! Yeah right…

This is how you end up with someone as corrupt as Trump as your President America.

Greatest con man ever! I have to give that to him.

Well according to Adam Schiff next Trump will sell Alaska to Putin.

Of course. Their injuries have absolutely nothing to do with the unnecessary actions of the President that caused the situation that caused those injuries in the first place and pointing out that fact is pure partisanship. Facts have a liberal bias. Again. “All is well!”

Once again you show just who you are.

Your projection is tiresome.

I have children and grandchildren serving as of this moment.
And when anyone try’s to use their service or any military member service as a political pawn to try and score some imaginary points against Trump or any President it is wrong and low class.
These brave men and women go into harms way not to serve Democrats or Republicans. They serve for every citizen in the United States.
I thank them and give them the honor they deserve.
