I said there was no equivalence between lying about an inappropriate affair – a personal failing – and lying about policy issues (such as claiming a deal to de-nuclearize the Korean Peninsula. When it was pointed out that one statement was made under oath and the other not, I offered a second example of two sets of statements not made under oath: statements about Benghazi casualties and statements made about casualties from Iran retaliation.

As to Trump “allegedly” lying… I assume you are just being facetious.

Nahhhh…be goofy and run around with your hair on fire. It’s how you’re wired. I’ve got more important things to do in reality. Enjoy your day and I hope you get a chance to go swimming.

I noticed you didn’t prove me wrong? Why is that?

Complete deflection, full off insults and utterly lacking in content.

It appears that Trump supporter morality states that lying is acceptable behavior as long as it is not under oath. Is that what I should teach my children? Is that how I should engage in negotiations in my business?

This is easy…prove me wrong. You know…put up or shut up?

Surely you know the difference between perjury and lying, don’t you?

My example is based on previous posts in this thread. That’s the proof you asked for.

Thank you for stopping the stream of insults… it really adds nothing to the discussion.

Do you know what a lie is? Hint … it’s not simply saying something that turns out not to be true.

My understanding of lying is based on my knowledge of the Old Testament and Sissela Bok’s 1978 treatise, “Lying: Moral Choice in Public and Private Life.”

Since you are implying my knowledge is incomplete or erroneous, please enlighten me.

He tends to exaggerate on his numbers as regards the economy etc. The left pounces on that as lies but give Pocahontas a pass on quite deliberate made up lies.

Such as she was fired from a teaching position because she was pregnant.

That her kids went to public schools.

That her father was a janitor.

That she is part Cherokee.

All lies. The 1st three she told in hopes of influencing voters.

Nice flip to a denunciation of Warren. Can anyone address the topic at hand?

Yup, and it dug up dirt on “fire the prosecutor or you don’t get the billion” Biden.

And what do nearly every Liberal and Dem say about that? That’s "D"ifferent.

I’m not a liberal or a Dem having voted GOP for 40 years and see the difference.

Biden was acting to benefit the country and in accordance with multiple international agencies to get rid of a corrupt prosecutor and he wasn’t running for office.

Trump was acting to benefit is reelection campaign in a dirt-for-arms deal.

Some people took the blue bill, I took the red pill.

You dont see the difference? It appears to be pretty obvious.

I thought that y’all had finally given this up and got to “yeah he did it- so what?” Even a number of GOP senators acknowledge he did it.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, said she would not vote to convict President Donald Trump, even though his attempts to get Ukraine to investigate the Bidens were “shameful and wrong.”

Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) went on Meet The Press on Sunday and said President Donald Trump’s actions in the Ukraine scandal were “improper“—Trump was “crossing the line” by hinging millions in aid on investigating a political opponent.

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) said on Sunday on CNN that Trump dealt with Ukraine “maybe in the wrong manner.”

Ohio’s Senator Rob Portman said in a statement earlier this week it was “wrong” and “inappropriate” to ask another country’s leader to dig up dirt on a political opponent.

Senator Marco Rubio of Florida said in a Medium post on Friday that Trump’s action were impeachable—but that he shouldn’t be removed from his office.

Romney, Collins and on and on.

And no it wasn’t a perfect call.

Cowards. All of them.

Yup- trying to thread the needle. But at least a lot of them are on record agreeing that the House made its case. They just don’t think there should be any consequence. Ridiculous.

Biden acted to benefit his son Hunter.

By firing a corrupt prosecutor that was not actively investigating Burisma.

Yep, blue pill.
