We have friends in Pinellas county that lost everything, including their brand new SUV. They’re staying with us and has been in contact with FEMA already. My daughter in NC has also been in contact with FEMA for her neighbors. I’ve never seen such fast assistance.

Earlier this month, Trump threatened to withold disaster aid from California wildfires unless CA changed it’s water management practices.
Can you imagine what would happen if Biden threatened to withhold disaster relief unless GA changed their climate change mitigation?
The freak out would be epic.

That was the case here after Ian. The Salvation Army, United Way, etc. had boots on the ground from day one. They even had vans driving though neighborhoods filled with hot meals, water, basic necessities they’d hand out.
We had one small charity that put truckloads of donated goods (all brand new still in the boxes) in a communal area. Blankets, clothes, cookware, fans, toaster ovens, etc.
The only people I saw from FEMA were taking a survey…months after the devastation.

I just watched an interview with Michael Whatley the RNC chairman…he’s from North Carolina.
He made a good point…
Let’s get the job done now there will be plenty of time for politics.
Even Mr. Trump yesterday in Georgia spoke quite well about “yes there’s an election but” when he showed up there with Franklin Graham and several truckloads of supplies.
I’m not satisfied with Biden’s answer that “I spent two hours on the phone” from Delaware…he should be in the situation room dealing with this…
But apparently yes fema is there…I hope they are doing a good job.
130 people are dead…millions without power and water…
Maybe we should all pray for the victims donate where we can and we’ll have whole lifetimes to pick apart the woulda coulda details later.

The guy who’s supposed to be president is just playing out the string…the vp who probably should be president even though she’s an imbecile as a result of the 25th amendment (or Biden just showing a little character and admitting that he’s no longer fit to hold the office) is doing photo ops where we are supposed to believe she’s working…(did you see that picture? She’s taking notes on a blank piece of paper wearing wired earbuds that clearly are not plugged into her phone??? God help us if that buffoon wins the election).
But all that said … right now the most important thing is helping…
Mr Trump did a good thing yesterday going to Georgia with truckloads of supplies. Fema is in North Carolina…in Florida…good. To be honest I trust Governor DeSantis and the other local officials way more than the feds….lets all hope and pray everything works out and they get the job done they need to do.

He lied to the country, telling us that Kemp can’t get Biden on the phone, when in fact, Biden called Kemp the day before, they spoke and Kemp told us they had eveything they needed and the president told him to cll him personally if he needed anything else.
I don’t think that’s a good thing for Trump to have done.
