Caution.

While there is a lot of wealth disparity in the US and elsewhere,
but that number and that article are full of crap.

To begin with individuals own only 53% of the stock market directly or indirectly through mutual funds etc…
The rest is owned by auto/life/health insurance companies,($8 trillion)
Univeristies own $.9 trillion in theriendowments (divest now! divest now!)
Banks own a ton
Nonbank corporations own a ton, (Google has $200b in liquid assets, Amazon has $90b)

And then there are demographic/age factors that should always be menitoned and, in most cases, excluded from the denominator.
