The entire area adjacent to the Lincoln Memorial and back to the end of the first reflecting pool is being reserved for campaign contributors and supporters who receive tickets from the White House. So it is clear that to set up his stage, the President is keeping most Americans out of a public park on a day when that park has traditionally been used for a non-partisan patriotic celebration.

I love how it’s being set up so that Dumpster Donnie’s friends, family, and donors don’t have to mingle with the smelly Walmart people or The Forgotten Man.

And the White House, always deceitful is stating the “Salute to America” is open to all, conveniently ignoring their taking public land as the Trump supporters-only section.

How sad to politicize a patriotic event.

Hopefully, he’ll pay for this pompous crap. Taxpayers shouldn’t.

$2.5M taken from the National Park Service (money paid from our entrance fees) for a campaign rally. Money that should be spent on the underfunded National Parks – a shared (and a-political) resource.

He’s hijacking it from the people who normally put this celebration on to make it about himself, and to set aside the prime park area for his personal friends, family, and donors, so they can attend without having to mingle with smelly Walmart people or The Forgotten Man.
