President Trump defended his decision to launch a US drone strike that killed a top Iranian General at the White House Tuesday; saying “he was a monster, he’s no longer a monster, he’s dead.”

“He’s been called a monster… and he was a monster. And he’s no longer a monster, he’s dead, and that’s a good thing for a lot of countries,” said the President. “He was planning a big attack, and we stopped him.”

"Soleimani has been called a monster.

And he was a monster. And he's no longer a monster.

He's dead."
