Rand was a Never Trumper until he played golf with Trump. He’s been a cult member ever since. I can only imagine that he told Rand that Putin had all of his emails.

Its kinda sad. I really respected Rand until recently. Some weird stuff has been happening with him; fights with neighbors, conversion to Trumpism. Strange.
I think Trump supporters are more diverse than I first said. With some, it’s just blind screaming anger. Flyover-country-itis. Others are not bright and easily duped by propaganda. Some are insane. Others are just lifelong partisans. Many value their fury at Hillary over their love of country. Some are Neapolitan ice cream of these.
But back to your point: yes, it is nothing short of amazing that these people can reflexively complain about big government, socialism, and so forth, and in the same breath defend Trump’s clear infatuation with a corrupt dictator who has had numerous opponents killed. In a country that was communist as recently as 1991.
Deep down, they are moral vacuums.
He is compromised. There is no other logical explanation. He was fairly rational until the day he decided to golf with Trump. He has not been the same since.
I am truly ashamed I ever supported his 2016 run.
if you’re a foreign leader and you’re gonna screw with us/compromise Americans the easiest way would be via our open internet/our freedoms and the tried and true money/sex stuff.
Because when your Presidency is stil tottering from the first meeting and you are still in in the,process of clowning yourself with so many reversals, you change the news cycle,by saying,p “let’s do it again at my place”.
