I am not arguing that Trump can’t be convicted. He may well be. The argument I have been making is that this is a selective, political prosecution that is concentrating only on Trump for political reasons. It is a political argument to be brought up in the next election against Biden…whether by Trump or by DeSantis (to me…hopefully by DeSantis).

Is there any possible case against Trump that would not be political in your mind?

After Trump is arraigned on tuesday and pleads not guilty, there will be a lengthy process in determining when the trial will be and who will be overseeing it. This is gonna get crazy because the NY trial is set for March barring delays. This one will also almost assuredly happen in 24. And this is all before the likely Georgia indictment.

Imagine tens of thousands of pro-Trump folks packing the streets near the trials, non stop media coverage, all while the primaries are going on, candidates are picked, the conventions happen and the general election ramps up. We’ll have a lot to talk about here tho.

Didn’t Biden make a statement that anyone with illegal classified materials in their possesion isn’t fit for office?

I think this one is a real prosecution, but there have been so many that have been politically motivated sometimes it’s hard to differentiate, if that makes sense.

As I said earlier in this thread…Trump shouldn’t have done this, did he think he was Biden? Or something to that effect. Have documents sent to Mar-a-Lago for safe keeping is one. But having em accessible without checking to see if they’re classified is another.

That is totally incredible. Biden went through the same process of gathering those documents as Trump did. He collected them as Senator and as VP. You are wanting us to believe that he had nothing to do with it…that he was deceived by bad aides both times. Has the FBI talked to the other people who were involved in storing those documents? Have they said what instructions Biden gave them? Has the FBI talked to those lawyers he had transport those documents after classified documents became an issue…and what instructions he gave to them?
Where are the FBI reports on that investigation?

2. Anything Trump is charged with while he is not running.
3. Most things he is charged with not involving his Presidency.
4. Most things he is charged with that his political opponents did not also do.
