Trump: "I'm a nationalist."

I can’t see it. I mean, all some folks want to do is to maintain their identity, culture, language, religion, politics, and ancestry, and in order do to that, they want to keep out anyone who offers anything different.

My favorite ice cream is vanilla. If you add caramel to my vanilla, or if you’re into sprinkles or, worse, crushing a candy bar and dumping it willy nilly on top, or adding gummy bears, M&Ms, or candy corn, then I’m going to be legitimately angry, because you’ve destroyed my dessert, and that’s something that I can never get back.

He said he was a nationalist… without any qualification. You are putting words in his mouth

At least you agree the difference is small. They say socialism allows capitalism and communism try’s to end it. But saying you “allow” capitalism means you want to control it’s outcomes through govt. Still, Not a bad way to distinguish them…

He loves America and our constitution and history… Why put any qualifications on that…

No doubt he loves America… but not it’s diversity.

How many times has he actually mentioned the constitution in his speeches or tweet or interviews during the campaign or as president? Probably count all of the instances on 1 hand

What are you basing this on? How does he live and behave that supports the claim?

What he really loves is money and positive attention.

And is in love with Kim Jong-un as well.

I don’t know what that means…

It means he loves the America where he’s rich and only has to interact with other rich people. He doesn’t love the America with poor people, black people and chicks.

He loves American bankruptcy law and his ability to use it to wiggle out of personal responsibility.

Hes cool with the chicks, as long as he can do what he wants with them.

It should be but alas it is what it is.

It’s easier to see the US as a federation of differing nations, organized by region. There are some central tenants that are shared between each region, such as language, but the differences are profound.

I accepted a long time ago that as a deep southerner I view things differently than people from New England, or the west coast, or even the southwest. It’s a cultural thing.

That’s why an overbearing federal government is undesirable.

True. He likes woman that think like him. The ones that don’t mind sleeping with an ugly fat slob as long as the deed pays well.

Yes you do…you just dont want to admit it.

There is a lot of early 20th century fetishization that has been going around.

We probably have a different definition of exceptionalism, in all practical sense, donny means America above the rules even we create.

Der trumpengroper and Steven Miller mean the “keep America American” kind of nationalism.

It wouldn’t be Trump if he didn’t double down.
