I was a proud evangelical until the era of Trump - and while the church I currently attend is technically evangelical, I dropped the evangelical label long ago due to the sheer hypocrisy shown by evangelicals throwing their support behind a man whose lifestyle is so different from what the Bible teaches it should be.

In all honesty, considering what Sessions did for his campaign, I find this disappointing.

Tuberville did win the first round and is a pretty sure lock on the runoff, so it does make sense for trump to back him and he is main stream popular and will be around for a while…hopefully.

If you ever go again…Make a point and head out to the country. For example, my pops home town of Mandeville is very nice and the drive is scenic.
I did the same…actually a while before Trump. For many, all Trump had to do is say he’s against abortion and many within the body of Christ fell for it and excused EVERYTHING else including him being a liar/con man/grifter. I just got tired of every 4 years GOP politicians dangle pro-life in my face and guilt the body of Christ to vote for them like they actually give a damn. THEY DON’T!

And yet the two presidents who have done more to ensure religious liberty in the modern era are Reagan and Trump. Neither of whom even attend church… go figure. Maybe, what all those other evangelicals appreciate is results.
We would still have religious liberty without them. So they didn’t really do anything. Neither one them were/are men of faith.

What has trump done to protect religious liberty?
The constitution already guarantees religious liberty. The constitution trumps the presidency
