While Glassner had the support of Donald Trump, Bashaw had the support of most of the county Republican parties in the state, which are particularly influential in New Jersey, meaning he secured the county line in a majority of the counties in the state.“
hard to believe new jersey republicans reject an election denier and goes mainstream in their candidate. no senate republicans for the last 50 years
maybe Bashaw will upset the applecart.
would not surprise me in the least if he upsets Kim.
That price is that you may have to live next to somebody you may disagree with. The “Golden Rule” says to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you do not want to be told what to do, then we should not tell our neighbor what to do.
I believe the same rule should apply to our government. Our government should not be able to tell us what to do in our lives!
hes pro choice. this is from a WNYC brian lehrer radio show from the end of May.
“Curtis Bashaw: I believe that abortion should be safe, legal, and rare. I believe that the Dopp’s decision rightly remanded it back to the States. Democracy is working itself. New Jersey has decided its view. I believe that the government shouldn’t be in our homes telling us what to do on some of these very personal decisions. I believe those are the choices that should be left up to the families and the people involved.”
Since when is “safe, legal, and rare” and “it’s a state issue” the pro choice position?
I’ll grant it’s not an “abortion is murder” position, but safe, legal, and rare and states choice is currently what pro choice is fighting against, not for.
Hogan had the temerity to say, “I urge all Americans to respect the verdict and the legal process. At this dangerously divided moment in our history, all leaders—regardless of party—must not pour fuel on the fire with more toxic partisanship.”
