Technically there already is a border wall because at some point in the future there will be a border wall that Mexico pays for.

Here’s what confuses me. If the wall is already built because Trump is going to build it, then why does have to build it? Because we already have it.

The wall is a metaphor for border security.

Here’s my takeaway: a bunch of keyboard warriors have established, despite their ideological differences, that there is an 8’ (not 10’) wrought iron fence (not wall) enclosing part of (not surrounding) a private residence (not a national border). I assume it was paid for by the Obamas, or by the lifetime Secret Service protection funding that all presidents (including Trump) get when they leave office (not by shutting down the government).

All of this information is freely available to the public (and the President). Unlike us, he has a vast intelligence-gathering force at his disposal to verify information. But he couldn’t be bothered to haul his doughy rump off the couch and confirm his facts before twitting his mouth off. Your hard-working, 239 lb. President, ladies and gents!

Obama had a fence (and security) around him when he was in the White House. Now Trump does, too. Obama, being a former U.S. president, has secret service detail. So does Hillary Clinton. Like it or not, those who advocate for no wall or no security at the southern border, while being surrounded by their own security, are flaming hypocrites.
