Burisma was an energy company not an international banking firm. Hunter had no experience at all in either Ukraine or Energy and didn’t even speak the language.
His sole value to the company was the fact Joe was appointed head of Ukraine policy. Even democrats at the time saw the clear conflict.

It might come as a shock to you but energy firms require capital and Hunter Biden was CEO of an international capital firm. And he taught international relations at Georgetown… also germane. Corporate Boards are full of people from industries other than the industry the firm is in. You should look at the composition of a few boards.
I am not arguing that Hunter Biden was right to take the job; only that he was a heck of a lot more qualified than a few other politician’s family members who hold various international responsibilities.
Even Hunter admitted his only qualification was his last name and the only capital involved was in the form of development aid money coming form the US which his father was in charge of.
