Trump blocks his challengers from primaries

What a horrible article and analysis of it in this thread.

I did see the news.

He claimed, as he looked up to the sky that he was the Chosen One.

"Speaking on the White House lawn earlier today Trump declared that he was “the chosen one.” Only hours before that Trump retweeted an anti-semitic conservative Christian radio host who referred to Trump as “the greatest President for Jews and for Israel in the history of the world,” claiming that Isreali Jews “love him like he is the second coming of God.”

And the Loyalists got down on one knee and paid homage to the Chosen One.

Guys I don’t think we should blaspheme the name of Donald. We should repent right now in his precious name.:innocent:

You seem bitter. :sunglasses:

The bitterness is showing through.

Like Ronald Reagan. Or Ted Kennedy.

I sense panic, fear, even desperation seeping into the Trump campaign.

They’re only rigged when the results go against him.

Well, if he’s facing indictment as soon as he leaves office, it’s with good reason. Personally, I’m not sure why anyone would want to vote for a party that openly supports corruption.

He’s still the president - and criticizing sitting presidents has been a full contact sport in this nation for as long as I can recall.

Of course, this particular president goes into whiny mode every time someone criticizes him, so that one is kind of new.

I think this whole idea is amazing. Don’t give disaffected Republicans that pressure valve release of being able to say that they voted against Trump in a meaningless primary so they can do it in the general. That’s sharp strategic thinking.

I wonder how much of a campaign even exists. I know it’s being by run by Kushner’s data weenie from the 2016 “campaign” and even in competent organizations, the data guy is the last guy you put in a leadership role.

If Trump is to be reelected, they’re going to need a lot more than his regular base to get it done. They seem to have forgotten that.

Yeah, I know I’ve mentioned this for year, but midterms are “race for the base” elections, where it’s just about turning out the true believer super voters, and presidential years are “race for the middle” elections where you turn out independents and undecideds and they tried to make the midterm about Trump and got blown out of the water just trying to appeal to the people who vote Republican twice a year every year for at least the last five years.

Or if Tulsi Gabbard doesn’t make a debate.

It’s a good question.

I don’t expect the party to host debates, but cancel the primary? Why…would you choose to shrink your party like that?

The Chosen One, the second coming, the #KingoftheJews, no one one can challenge the rights new Messiah.

What good would a primary challenger do anyway? The GOP is clearly the party of Trump. It’s not like a challenger would have a chance.

What an actual conservative candidate should do is run as an independent in the general. Give Trump the Perot treatment.

It would at least continue the appearance of the illusion of choice.

Trump isn’t doing it, the states are. This has happened before.

8 states dropped them for HW Bush

8 states dropped them for Clinton

10 dropped them for GW Bush

So much wrong with the sociopath in the White House, lets stick to stuff that’s real.
