I’ll tell you why Trump and Palin were not at the funeral. McCain and his family didn’t want any part of their circuses and both of them have three rings of their own.

Senator John McCain did the right thing with his vote to not repeal Obamacare. (McCain’s vote against the repeal of the ACA was before when Senators Graham and Cassidy came forth with their healthcare plan.) There was no bipartisan support in repealing Obamacare. Repealing Obamacare would have also meant getting rid of the Medicaid expansion under Obamacare. Arizona (McCain’s state) here was one of the many states that expanded Medicaid under Obamacare. And Kyrsten Sinema who voted against the Obamacare repeal in Congress ended up last November getting elected as Arizona’s Senator.
You have a chance to reverse that mistake in 2020. I hope you make the right decision for our country not party.

Funny you should mention Puerto Rico, as that is yet another example of the massive failure of the local government both before and during the event that then gets the blame shifted to the federal response, which has been as good as possible, given the massive problems handed to them due to the local failures!

Cool… then when tragedy strikes don’t make excuses as to why the people brought it on themselves.
Help US citizens in need without blame and complaint and don’t leave hundreds of thousands of people to suffer without electricity for almost a year.

I understand that he had disdain towards Trump, and despised and went to his death with hate towards Trump because of Trumps attacking him about being captured, but she was someone he chose as the Vice President running mate, and I remember Palin as always being respectful of McCain.
It is something he campaigned on he repeatedly promised to the voters to repeal. Medicaid expansion in Arizona was 2013, he voted after 2013 to repeal it. He promised it 3 years after Medicaid expansion that he would and I’m sure his opponent spoke positively about Arizona Medicaid expansion, but he still won, and of course part of that campaign is that he was against that expansion. However, he repudiated his promise to repeal Obamacare and there is no excuse for that.
If you were a president would you like for your soldiers to be captured? Why would you like that?
What kind of … … Awww forget it!

Presidents dont know who they govern.
There are some massive egos that are going to have a problem doing that
folks, these aren’t your grandfather’s republicans.
And these are not FDR Democrats. If he had liked an army of POWs he would have ordered mass surrenders. We’d all be speaking German and Japanese.
this is an great example of a Trump Republican (circa 2019) making excuses for a president/politician/draft dodger who trashed an American POW who suffered torture so severe at the hands of the enemy that he decided suicide was the best way out.
everyone remember.
