President Trump addressed the nation Wednesday afternoon just hours after a series of “explosive devices” were sent to political leaders and prompted the evacuation of CNN’s New York offices; saying all Americans have to “come together” and “unify.”
“The safety of the American people is my highest and absolute priority. I have just concluded a briefing with the FBI, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and the US Secret Service,” said the President.
“As we speak, the packages are being inspected by top explosive experts and a major federal investigation is now underway,” he added. “We will spare no resources or expense in this effort. I just want to tell you in these times we have to unify, we have to come together.”
