If you look at the aggregate of all companies invested for that program, we, the citizens actually made money.

Renewable energy is the future. Coal is the past. However, I don’t support using government money to prop up either industry.

There may be strategic defense reasons to keep some of these plants open. Like they have lots of excess capacity that can be used if other grid suppliers are knocked out.

Its a rather inefficient and unclean energy source that is just releasing more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Why did the earth warm out of the last 6 ice ages without industry? Interglacial warming periods are great. Be happy you live during one.

Why is it warming steadily more now than it did in the past? Why are hurricanes getting stronger? Why do you think producing a blanket that is trapping more heat as we emmit more co2 wont warm the earth? This whole defense of coal is an excuse.

It was warmer before the little ice age (MWP) and during the Roman warming period. There are less hurricanes not more and they are not stronger. NOAA adjusts their data to make the warming look more extreme and to eliminate the pause.

The total loss on government investment in renewable energy is 2.28%. That is much better then the average of US investment companies. And over $800M has been made on interest on the government loans issued.

I worked for a manufactoring plant that required enormous amounts of current. That’s why i mention that panels and wind mills will never suffice for that.Some houses maybe.
