She has been here illegally for 18 years.
She had a deportation order issued against her
as US officials enforce a deportation order against her
She was found to be here illegally (and adjudicated hence the order).
Husband did it right, moved here became a naturalized citizen.
This stupid lady broke the law – who knows how many other laws (has she worked in her 20+ years here?). Once she got the deportation order, she knew that at any time she could be sent home. Hubby’s kind of stupid as well for marrying someone who is here illegally when he followed the proper steps.

This can be squarely blamed on Obama. Even this poor woman says it’s so. Obama had 8 years and he didn’t fix the problem. Now Trump is actually enforcing the law, thereby FORCING Congress to address the issue. He’s playing hardball in order to address major issues affecting our country the right way, instead of all this Executive Order baloney.
Dems don’t fix issues. They just kick the can down the road until a Republican gets in office and has the adult the place up.
Its funny to hear family loving conservatives try to explain that two good American citizens having their mother ripped from them for a 20 year old misdeed is good for the country.

Essentially, she was barred from the programme anyway because of a document she signed in 1998, when she was first caught in the US and deported. She said it was explained to her at the time as paperwork keeping her out of jail but learned only later it was a promise never to return.
She was deported BEFORE and returned. Obama should have sent her packing as a REPEAT offender.

Which is more important, family or punishing a 20 year old breaking of the law?
(Once we get that question settled, we can then talk about the wisdom of digging 20 years into the past to find justification to kick Hispanics out of our USA.)
We have to make an example out of this woman, otherwise more Mexicans might cross the border while children, grow up in America while learning the English language, fall in love with an American citizen, and eventually support their spouse while they served in our armed forces.

Punishing someone who was DEPORTED once. She KNEW the consiquences of coming here a second time. She broke the law, she continued to break the law. Obama should have deported her when it was found she came bace AFTER being deported previously.

She was told not to come back she broke the federal governments law. She and her Husband could have at anytime tried to resolve her illegal status. But she came back multiple times when she was told not too.
So if a Woman commits the same crime of stealing items from a store does her husbands military service protect her?
I’m suggesting she was a good wife and mother in a military family. You can be support your family in more ways than monetary.
At least he’s not serving anymore. I can’t imagine having to go to work for your country after this happened to you.
