In a interview today Trudeau kick Trump when he was down calling the President out for not following the rules.

U.S. President Donald Trump’s penchant for breaking rules makes it especially necessary for Canada to preserve NAFTA’s independent dispute resolution system in any trade deal with the U.S., Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Wednesday.

This is the first time Trudeau has criticized Trump in the course of making his case for the preservation of NAFTA’s “Chapter 19” system. The system allows import duties imposed on Canada by the U.S. government to be challenged to independent panels made up of people from both countries rather than to American courts.

Trump isn’t down. If Trudeau doesn’t want to go along then Trump should and probably will tear up the NAFTA treaty and kick Canada to the curb in favor of a bilateral treaty with Mexico. :grinning::+1:

Trade regulation in NAFTA was passed by Congress so even if Trump ripped it up the laws still exist till Congress repeal them.

Congress and Senate folk have said Trump can’t do anything he threatened.
