I’ve already posted that the study that McHugh uses to come up with that sentence, actually comes to the opposite conclusion. The author of that study has repeatedly asked him to stop misrepresenting her work.

And that people know McHugh is smart enough to know what he is doing. Therefore it’s obvious he is playing to his “marks”.

I didn’t dismiss it. You seem to be of the opinion that SRS is meant to treat every single ailment a trans person may have. It isn’t. It’s meant to address gender dysphoria, an entirely separate phenomenon than depression or being transgender.

I am not saying it is a mental disorder, but it was classified as one up until May 29th of this year by the World’s Health Organization. And I was with you guys completely until they started letting men and woman compete in competitive sports, especially combat sports against each other and some talking (At least for now) on transitioning underage people with hormones.

The sports issue is contentious, in my opinion. I haven’t read nearly enough about the comparisons of muscle mass between cis and trans women to be able to provide an informed opinion.
As for underage people with hormones; if they’re a teenager, I don’t see an issue with it.

I see and issue with it until they are an adult, I think you guys are losing supporters on this issue. The athlete thing is just silly it’s not just muscle mass, it’s bone density, larger hands there is some basic biology there that gives men and advantage over women in certain sports which is why transgender athletes are breaking records in women sports as well as fracturing skulls in the MMA. Some basic things are taboo for a reason, like men should never hit a girl.

It would have been easier to just have a trans-league. I would have been in favor of that.

I hear you; bones are constantly undergoing remodeling due to osteocyte activity. I don’t imagine the density would be the same [but it may still be higher] after consistent HRT. I do agree with hand size and other anatomical ratios.
I also agree that there are much better hills to die on and my side is experiencing setbacks due to the publicity.

The publishers of the DSM stated specific reasons as to why it’s no longer considered a disorder. They didn’t list politics. Feel free to research it, or at least support your claims.
