Srs is meant to alleviate gender dysphoria, which peer reviewed studies support. There is no celebration of mental illness, except by individuals who mock trans people and really, and I mean really want them to be mentally ill for some reason.

i didnt say there were no “benefits” to the surgeries. stick to the argument

there is evidence that the surgeries do not help with post surgery suicide, suicidal thoughts of depression.

did ANY of your precious studies show that surgeries address the underlying mental issues present with people thinking the answer lies in rearranging their genitals?

There are plenty of studies that quantify depression among transgender people. The topic was SRS, because that is a treatment specifically given to alleviate gender dysphoria. But if we want to include other things like depression and various comorbid conditions, there is a plethora of research out there dissecting that topic, such as comparisons between suicide attempts - income level - homelessness - HIV status - family relations - race - etc.

I’ve already posted that the study that McHugh uses to come up with that sentence, actually comes to the opposite conclusion. The author of that study has repeatedly asked him to stop misrepresenting her work.

And that people know McHugh is smart enough to know what he is doing. Therefore it’s obvious he is playing to his “marks”.

I didn’t dismiss it. You seem to be of the opinion that SRS is meant to treat every single ailment a trans person may have. It isn’t. It’s meant to address gender dysphoria, an entirely separate phenomenon than depression or being transgender.

There’s nothing delusional about educating misinformed people with peer reviewed studies.
