That’s me, I know a lot of people still do but when you work in a world that regularly deals with intellectual disability you tend to stop. But that’s me. I grow and learn. Think it’s pretty showing from what you say. Why are you so along with this person who as you say has intellectual disabilities? He must be right? No. More like meeting and dealing with people with intellectual disabilities and their families who don’t like the word. I work for a university that has an amazing Disability Studies program and I’ve learned so much from it. Dealing with many families. Actually being involved. So I’ve stopped using the word. But hey, that’s just me.

Yes. I work with a lot of families with children, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews with intellectual disabilities. You learn a lot. I mean, most of us learn a lot. Some people can’t actually handle it.
