Outstanding.

Taking control of voting laws? Packing the court? Changing the constitution? Sounds like a liberal Democrat dream except he doesn’t have a Manchin to block his efforts.
It isn’t his political ploys Democrats hate, it’s his policies, like defending his border.

We were discussing Hungary.

Fact: Many red states are making laws to make it harder to vote. If the VRA was still in tact, (damn activists judges) it would not be allowed.

Fact: McConnel packed the court when he removed the filibuster on SCOTUS picks, refused to allow the nomination process for BS reasons for an Obama nomination, then reversed those same BS reasons when if favored the R party.

Who is changing the constitution?

That’s not what “packing the court” means.

The VRA is still intact.

Roberts court gutted it. The crap red states are doing, would not be allowed, if they had not screwed it up.

No it didn’t. You want pre-clearance. The VRA is intact.

Manipulating the process to stop a nomination, and and then reverse that same process to gain another seat on the court…is packing the court.

And you know it. It just helped your tribe…so you are ok with it.

That’s not what the term means.

Pre-clearance was part of the VRA the court gutted.

Again, you know this, but it helps your tribe…as all is well.

Had the same effect.

Some are loyal to the tribe…just as long as they win.

I keep hearing how enhancing security or ID’s is supposed to block blacks from voting . When it comes down to it, the worst example they give is something about not providing water in line in some billl in Georgia.
What I see is Democrats trying to take total control of voting for themselves in a way to avoid security measures the states approve.

As far as the Constitution, this is where the District of Columbia is established. You know, the city Democrats want to hand two permanent Democratic Senators to?

Pre-clearance is still an option, if ordered by a court. There are numerous in place and/or pending now. The VRA is intact.

Your emotions not withstanding.

No, it didn’t. Your emotions not withstanding.

The VRA was based on historical 1960s data and prior. The court said if you are going to discriminate by state, you need real current data. Apparently Democrats have not been able to come up with this.

You like polls?

69% of black US citizens support voter ID laws.

You are being led around by the nose by a small (but loud) group of race baiters and their media shills.

Because it doesn’t exist.

Historically, “packing the court” means creating new seats and filling them immediately with your own political/ideological allies. The term came from an attempt by FDR to do this. You can’t just twist meanings to suit current political goals.
“Manipulating the process” is what politicians do. Ask Harry Reid about this.
