So in other words the Democrats who have total power in CA have no accountability for the situation there? But isn’t that always the case in the minds of prog voters? Any of the problems we see in the country has NOTHING to do with Democrat politicians, their policies or their leadership.

Of course state Democrats are held accountable.

But again, there are multiple variables that effect various outcomes.

The homeless, and income inequality are 2 of the biggest issues that effect people, now.

In many ways, things have improved…not so much in others.

And as stated, federal laws do have an effect in CA.

For a family of 4 in NJ in the middle-upper middle bracket we had our tax liability cut by over $5,000. Remember it was not just the higher standard deduction, but the lower marginal tax rates as well as the higher child tax credits. That being said, l agree that the higher marginal tax rates should have been kept in place for upper income levels and higher capital gains for upper income as well.
